Registered Dietitian Visit

- Nutrition counselling & feeding therapy for infants, children, and adolescents provided by a registered dietitian.
- Nutrition counselling for those who are pregnant, post-partum, and/or breastfeeding.


Joint RD & OT Visit

Our team of feeding experts can support you at any stage of your feeding journey. This 75 minute appointment includes an assessment by a registered dietitian and occupational therapist, mealtime observation and individualized recommendations.


Occupational Therapy

Soleina Karamali RD, BSc.FNH, Clinical Instructor - UBC Faculty of Land and Food Systems.

Soleina is a Registered Dietitian of British Columbia. She graduated in 2017 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Health (Major Dietetics).

Soleina has worked for the past 7 years as a clinical pediatric dietitian at BC Children’s Hospital. She has extensive experience in many areas of pediatric nutrition, but has always had a keen interest in infant and child feeding. Soleina was fortunate to be able to foster this interest when she joined the Complex Feeding and Nutrition team at BC Children’s Hospital in 2019 (this is also where she met Rochelle!). Soleina has completed additional training in the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Ellyn Satter Division of Responsibilities to further her understanding of pediatric feeding disorders.

***Soleina also currently works at BC Children’s Hospital. Soleina is unable to provide services to the same client both publicly and privately. At the time of intake Soleina can provide resources for alternate avenues of feeding support if there is the potential for any actual or perceived conflict of interest.

Rochelle Stokes Reg. OT of BC, BSc.OT, MSc.RS, IBCLC, Clinical Instructor - UBC Faculty of Medicine School of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy.

Rochelle is a registered Occupational Therapist of British Columbia, graduating from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2004.

Rochelle has worked in paediatrics for the past 18 years in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, community support and tertiary care settings at both Sunny Hill Health Centre and BC Children’s Hospital.

In 2010 she completed a Masters of Rehabilitation Science (MRSc) at UBC, focusing on research in paediatric feeding. In 2019, Rochelle became a board certified Lactation Consultant in order to expand her scope to include breastfeeding support.

Rochelle has extensive experience and expertise in the area of paediatric feeding from birth to school aged.

Rochelle’s practice focuses on supporting infant feeding, including assessment of infant feeding, optimizing feeding through positioning, bottle or breastfeeding techniques, and feeding routines.

Rochelle is able to support older infants and children and their caregivers to work through challenging feeding behaviours, successfully transition to solids, and increase the variety of foods ingested and enjoyment of mealtimes. Rochelle works closely with community practitioners such as Physicians, Midwives and Dietitians.
